1. Name of Scholarship: Virginia Daughters of the American Revolution
Eligibility Criteria: You must be a graduating senior. Please see the various scholarships below to obtain specific guidelines:
Virginia DAR Scholarships-you must plot to work toward an undergraduate degree in a meadow additional than nursing and plot to concentrate a Virginia college or university.
American History Scholarship- you must plot to complete a minimum of 24 credit hours in American History or American Government in college and plot to concentrate a Virginia college or university.
Nursing Scholarship- you must plot to continue your education at an accredited Virginia school of nursing.
Deadline: January 16, 2012 (on or before)
2 . Name of Scholarship: The Ron Brown Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements: The Ron Brown Scholar Program seeks to identify African-American high school seniors who will make significant contributions to the upper classes. Applicants must excel academically, exhibit exceptional leadership potential, participate in community service actions and demonstrate financial need.
Deadlines: The Ron Brown Scholar Program currently has two deadlines for applications (students must be current high school seniors at the time of their application):
November 1st (2011) – application will be considered for the Ron Brown Scholar Program AND forwarded to a select and limited number of additional scholarship providers.
January 9th (2012) – final postmarked deadline in order to be considered for only the Ron Brown Scholar Program ONLY.
3. Name of Scholarship: Suntrust Off to College Scholarship Sweepstakes
Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must be a high school senior or undergraduate student. You can start applying for this scholarship online on September 16, 2011.

4. Name of Scholarship: AXA Achievement Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements: You must be a senior that is active in the community implementing projects that help others and have overcome personal challenges. You must have a cumulative grade top average on a 4.0 scale.
Deadline: December 1, 2011 (you must apply for this scholarship online at www.axa-achievement.com)
5. Name of Scholarship: The Gates Millennium Scholars Program
Eligibility Criteria: You must be an African American, American Indian/Alaska native, Asian Pacific Islander American or Hispanic American; you must be a U. S. citizen; have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 on an unweighted 4.0 scale; will enroll in an accredited college or university in the fall of 2012 and have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular or additional actions.

Eligibility Criteria: You must be a United States high school student. You must submit an essay on a topic surrounded by a humanities meadow (history, literature, philosophy, fine arts, etc..)

Holland Blackburn Scholarship: You must be a graduating senior who has excelled academically; possess leadership skills/qualities and has a potential to supply as a role model. This scholarship is for African American students only. Apply using this link:

University Achievement Award-You must be a graduating senior who has a history of overcoming disadvantages; be a first time generation college student; be a limb of an underrepresented minority or ethnic group; be a limb of a low-income family; reside in a rural or inner-city location and have been raised in a single parent household. Walter N. Ridley Scholarship-You must be an African American student who has excelled academically in school, in the top 20% of your class and have special talents and/or leadership qualities. Link for application:

12. Name of the Scholarship: Wyllie Scholarship (Sweet Brier College)
Eligibility Criteria: You must be a graduating senior who is interested in pursuing a degree in Engineering at Sweet Brier. You must have applied for admissions.

13. Name of the Scholarship: Mensa Education and Research Foundation
Eligibility Criteria: You must be a graduating senior who plans to concentrate a college or university in the Fall of 2012 and you must reside in a zip code area beginning with 233XX -237XXX.

14. Name of the Scholarship: Elks National Foundation
Eligibility Criteria: You must be a graduating senior.

15. Name of the Scholarship: Radford University
Eligibility Criteria: You must be a graduating senior who has a minimum grade top average of 3.3; demonstrate an outstanding level of achievement in theatre through presentation of an audition or portfolio and interview and a combined SAT score of 1100 (or higher) or an ACT score of 24 (or higher).

17. Name of the Scholarship: VSGA-VIP Scholarship Foundation
Eligibility Criteria: You must be a graduating senior who has achieved academic excellence; hold an interest in golf (skill level not vital), have a excellent character and a financial need. You must plot to concentrate a college in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

19. Name of the Scholarship: National Multiple Sclerosis Association
Eligibility Criteria: You must be a graduating high senior who has a parent with MS and will be attending an accredited post secondary the upper classes.

Eligibility Criteria: You must be a graduating senior who plans to concentrate college majoring in a meadow related to agriculture.

Eligibility Criteria: You must be a graduating senior who will be attending college full-time in the fall of 2012. You must be a disabled student with a 3.0 grade top average.

22. Name of the Scholarship: Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association Foundation
Eligibility Criteria: You must be a graduating senior who resides in Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach or Chesapeake. You must not be a family limb of the Board of Directors of the Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association Foundation or a family limb of the panel of judges for this competition.

Eligibility Criteria: You must pursue a degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer science or another scientific meadow at The University of Michigan.

25. Name of the Scholarship: KFC Colonel's Scholars
Eligibility Criteria: You must have a high school grade top average of 2.75; enrolled in a public college/university surrounded by the state of Virginia; plotting to pursue a single's degree; be a legal U. S. citizen or permanent resident and demonstrate a financial need.

26. Name of the Scholarship: VMI The Institute Scholarship Program
Eligibility Criteria: You must be a graduating senior who plans to concentrate WMI; have a SAT score of 1300 or an ACT score of 29 and a grade top average of 3.7 (candidates must meet or exceed the criteria above).

Eligibility Criteria: You must be a graduating senior who plans to concentrate a
community college in the state of Virginia (full-time) for the 2012-2013
School year and you must pursue a degree in the STEM meadow.

Eligibility Criteria: You must be a graduating senior; a dependent child of an enlisted officer, active duty, retired, honorably discharged or deceased of the Navy (must supply in the squadron, naval air station, training, carriers, etc..) and plot to concentrate college in the Fall of 2012.
