Welcome Banner from the Embassy of Japan in Singapore’s website

Are you interested in pursuing your further studies in Japan?

Heads up! NUSHSCollegeTalk want to draw your attention to the Japanese Government’s Monbukagakusho (MEXT) Scholarship, a bond-free scholarship to study in one of Japan’s universities. Fees for entrance examinations, matriculation and tuition at universities will all be covered by the Japanese government, and an allowance will be provided. Former knowledge of the Japanese language is not necessary, and a wide variety of majors are covered under this scholarship. For the application form and more details, check out the Embassy of Japan in Singapore’s website at http://www.sg.emb-japan.go.jp/culture_MEXT_undergrad2012.htm.Take note that the deadline for the applications to be received by the Embassy (application packages can be mailed or hand-delivered) is 29th July! It’s still some time away, but it’s always excellent to start preparing early and avoid last-small, rushed-out applications. Besides the application form, certified right copies of your transcript and learning certificates must also be submitted. A recommendation from your school is also required, so start looking for a referee early, so that there is enough time for your referee to write your letter of recommendation. For more details, refer to the Embassy of Japan’s website for the full list of application materials required. All the best!
