CHARLES MARKS AWARD
The scholarship is available to the registered students of University of Manchester, taking up a course in Maintenance Engineering and Asset Management MSc.
This is one available scholarship with the value of $5,000 agreed to the American Student who are enrolled in any full time MSc courses with the School of Mechanical, Civil Engineering and Aerospace. The award will not be available to the part time students or to persons taking distance learning courses.
How to Apply
Interested applicants must apply online. Applicants must go on the University of Manchester website and click on the link on the page to make the application. The instructions will appear and will walk you through the application process. The application can be save and the applicant can make revisions before making the final submission. The application may expire if it is left inactive for 28 days but the applicant will receive an email reminder before this happens.
Program Requirements
Have all the supporting documents scanned and ready for uploading when making the application. The required documents may vary depending on the course so it is advisable to check on the website of the academic department for the specific documents needed. The usual documents that will be required are:
- Evidence of the applicant's qualifications (transcripts or certificates) to prove they have met the entry requirements
- If English is not the applicant's first language, they must have proof of English language ability
- The referee report form must be downloaded as a PDF file and used as reference
- For research programs, check the apt department website for the guidelines or instructions for the requirements in making the research proposal
- The copy of the applicant's passport (if they need a student visa to enroll in the university)

MBA OIL AND GAS MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES
The partial scholarships are made available for full time, part time or with distance learning candidates who are most deserving. The MBA (Masters of Business Administration) scholarships are offered to just a select number of exceptionally able students as help to their learning needs.
The full time MBA is a scholarship that awards 3,ooo – 9,000. The number of scholarships to be awarded will vary for every region.
The Online MBA and the Executive Part time MBA scholarships are valued at 500 – 3,000 and will be open to all the applicants.
The scholarships reduces the normal tuition fees by its specific amount. The successful candidates are responsible for paying the tuition fees balance and for the additional living and travel expenses.
How to Apply
To apply for the Full Time MBA, Online MBA and Executive part time MBA Scholarships, the applicants must download the Scholarship Application form from the website in a Word Document.
The form and the applicant's submission paper must be sent with all the essential documentation to their MBA director thru email mba@rqu.ac.uk. The title of the email should be "MBA Scholarship Application". The applicant can apply for the scholarship only when they receive an offer for the degree.
If the applicants want to start their degree in September, they must complete and submit their applications by August 31.
If the applicants want to start their degree in January, they must complete and submit their applications by November 30.
Program Requirements
Guidelines for the Written Essay:
The scholarship applicants must prepare and submit their paper of around 1,000 to 1,500 words with the later headings:
- business experience
- interpersonal skills
- cultural and national prospective
- special attributes
- general attributes
Restrictions or Rules
Criteria for awarding of scholarships:
The applicants with an offer for an MBA or an MBA in Oil and Gas Management degree may maybe apply for the MBA scholarship.
The application for scholarship will be judged based on 3 criteria. The first criteria is academic distinction. The second criteria is the applicant's demonstrated career achievement and progression. The third criteria will be based on the written paper.
