Grant, scholarship applications due Nov. 4

The deadline to apply for an OSEA Mini-Grant or the Undergraduate Student Scholarship is Nov. 4, 2011. The grants and scholarship are designed to help members and students in reaching their professional development and academic goals.

OSEA's Mini-Grant program awards $400 to three members in each of seven geographical zones. The grants are to be used for professional development, such as in-service training, workshops or seminars. It's simple to apply for a Mini-Grant since it doesn't require filling out a lengthy form, providing references or prose essays. All you need to be is a limb in excellent standing. Grant recipients are select by game of chance, so just fill out and mail the simple application form to the OSEA State Office.

The $1,000 Undergraduate Student Scholarship is available to one incoming junior or senior at an accredited college or university who is related to an OSEA limb in excellent standing. Applicants must have a minimum grade top average of 2.8 and will need to submit a personal essay and one letter of recommendation.
