Who is eligible?
Any full- or part-time, undergraduate or graduate student of any age enrolled at an accredited 4-year college or university only in North America, during the 2011-2012 school year. High school students are not eligible to enter this contest. Qualifying majors include architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, material science, or additional related meadow.
How long should entries be?
Essays should be at least 1000 words, but should not exceed 2000 words.
What style is most appropriate?
Judges will evaluate submissions based on relevance, accuracy, conciseness, and ingenuity. Please submit your essays in English.
How will essays be judged?
Each essay will be read and ranked by reviewers at the AGA. Final awards will be determined by both the AGA's executive director and president.
Where do I start?
The AGA website provides a wealth of no-cost assets on hot-dip galvanizing information, including access to the current publications, printed articles, technical information resource CDs, and a diversity of industry links.
How do I submit my entry?
Submit your essay by downloading the Microsoft Word electronic entry form on the AGA website. Fill out the form by typing in the fields. Save the form to your desktop, then attach and email along with your essay to scholarship@galvanizeit.org. Essays must be in Word, Word Perfect, Rich Text Format, or Adobe Gymnast PDF format.
