Application As you arrange your application package for submission, it might be helpful to print out this handy checklist to "check off" each item as you complete it. INS regulations require that international students verify that they have the funds to cover their education expenses. Two letters of reference. One must be from a pastor and the other may be either an academic or employer reference. Satisfactory Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores. Minimum scores are as follows: 69 for internet-based, 193 for computer-based, and 523 for paper-based. Satisfactory SAT or ACT scores. This is optional but can be used for placement and scholarship. Autobiography. Step 3: Provide sufficient funds to cover your first year of education After our assess of this information, and if everything is acceptable, we will grant you Provisional Acceptance. Following your Provisional Acceptance, you will need to send to LBC sufficient money to cover your first year of education. These funds will be held in escrow and will be returned to you immediately should you be unable to attend. After getting the funds for your first year of education, we will grant you Final Acceptance and send you the I-20 form. This form provides the government with the information necessary to issue a visa for you.
