PTDF: Science & Tech Competition winners to get scholarship

PTDF: scholarship 2011

The winners of this year's Science and Technology Competition for secondary schools crosswise the country are to receive scholarship up to the University level.

 

The Executive Secretary, Petroleum Development Fund, Dr. Muttaqha Rabe announced this in Abuja while flagging off the 2011 "Catch them Young" competition among public and private schools in the country. Some category of winners will be awarded scholarship even to Ph D level of education.

 

He said winners in the various segments of the first competition received cash prizes, laptops, and sponsorship for a visit to oil gas installations in the United Kingdom.

 

Dr. Rabe said the competition was improved this year. He clarified that the choice of participating schools was transparently done to instill discipline in the students.

 

And the competition will take place in the six geopolitical zones of the country.
