PROJECT RUNWAY FASHION SCHOLARSHIP CHALLENGE
OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. CONTEST DESCRIPTION: The Project Runway Fashion Scholarship Challenge ("Contest") starts at 12:00:00PM Pacific Time ("PT") on August 23, 2011 and ends at 04:59:59PM (PT) on Saturday, October 15, 2011 ("Contest Period"). Entrants are invited to submit their entry to be judged based upon the Judging Criteria (as described herein).
2. ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is only open to permanent officially authorized residents of the fifty (50) United States and the Constituency of Columbia, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older and have reached the age of majority as of the date of entry, and are enrolled as full-time students, studying  fashion, at an accredited post-secondary school in the United States; where they maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in a 4.0 scaling system; and have already completed a minimum of 15 credits as of the start date of the Contest. Void where prohibited. Employees of Sponsor (as defined below), and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, contractors, representatives and agents of Sponsor, and each of their respective immediate families and household members (collectively the "Released Parties") are not eligible to enter this Contest.
3. HOW TO ENTER:  To register for this Contest, go to www.mylifetime.com ("Website") during the Contest Period, click on the Contest link or icon and download the registration form. Information on the registration form consists of entrant's first name, last name, street address (no P.O. Boxes), city, state, zip code, daytime telephone number (including area code), email address, date of birth, school name, GPA, date of graduation, degree type, etc. ("Registration Information"). While registration to participate in this Contest is free, all required Registration Information must be completed in full in order to participate. Entrant must also read and agree to the stipulations and conditions for participation and must abide by these Official Rules to be eligible to win a prize. Together with the submission of the Registration Information, Entrants must submit their Entry, that shall answer the question: "If a Lifetime movie was made about your life, what would your character be wearing, and Why?" ("Topic"). Once all the materials that constitute a full completed Entry are ready for submission, submit the Entry via U.S. Postal Mail only to: Project Runway Fashion Scholarship Challenge, A+E Networks, 2049 Century Park East, 8th Stump, Los Angeles CA 90067 (each an "Entry", collectively "Entries"). Limit one (1) Entry per self for the entire Contest Period. Anyone meeting the eligibility requirements of this Contest that submits an Entry as described herein is each (an "Entrant", and collectively "Entrants").
Each Entry must include the following:
a)    Entry form which includes Registration Information and all necessary documentation;
b)    Current and most up-to-date school transcript that evidences entrant's eligibility as required herein.
c)    Three Sketches that best answers the Topic question.
d)     One (1) full length photograph (no larger than 8.5" x 11") of the sketch in its finished form.
e)    Fully describe the materials and construction process of the garment photographed in 200 words or less.
f)     One (1) essay consisting of no more than 800 words describing the major themes in your movie and how they change your look and clothing.
Each Entry submitted must also adhere to the following guidelines:
a)    Entry must be Entrant's first foundation and Entrant must be the sole owner (or has secured all necessary rights relating to use) of property and/or content appearing in the Entry;
b)    No part of the Entry has been worn-out in whole or in part from any other work that is not Entrant's own;
c)    Entry has never been previously published or entered into any competition or contest or won any choice former to submission in this Contest;
d)    Entry is noteworthy to the Judging Criteria (as defined in paragraph 5);
e)    Entry does not incorporate or include anything that would require the consent of any third party or the further consent of any Participant (defined below) for the use of the Entry as outlined herein;
f)     Entry does not contain or depict any objectionable, unlawful, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, threatening, abusive, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, vulgar, racially or ethnically-motivated, invasive of another's privacy, or any other objectionable material or gesture or is otherwise unfit for publication/posting/uploading, as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion;
g)    Entry does not contain, violate or otherwise make available any materials (images, trademarks, logos, etc.) that flout upon any private, proprietary or any other right of any third party;
h)    Entry does not contain the last name, phone number(s), address, or email address of any self, including Entrant;
i)      Entry does not contain any visual references to alcoholic beverages, tobacco, drug paraphernalia, firearms, or any depiction or representation thereof;
j)      Entry does not contain or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, "commercial pitch," promotional materials, junk mail, spam, pyramid schemes, or any other form of solicitation;
k)    Entry does not contain any material that: (i) would give or threaten to give rise to criminal or civil liability; (ii) encourages conduct that constitutes a criminal offense; or (iii) encourages or provides instructional information about unlawful activities;
l)      Entry and Entry Form must be in the English language;
All Entries are subject to verification. No entry by group or organization. Proof of delivery or receipt of Entry will not be deemed by Sponsor as proof of entry. All other forms of Entry other than what is permissible as described herein is void.  Entries that are not reasonably pertinent to the Judging Criteria or the Topic (as defined herein), or are otherwise in violation of these Official Rules will be ineligible. As determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, Entries that include obscenities, objectionable material, defame or invade the publicity or privacy rights of any self, living or deceased, or otherwise flout upon any third party's private or proprietary rights will be ineligible.
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 1, 2011 AND MUST BE RECEIVED BY 04:59:59PM (PT) ON OCTOBER 15, 2011.  No incomplete, forged or altered Entries will be accepted. All Entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
4. JUDGING: Winners will be selected by a panel of judges empanelled by Sponsor ("Judges") on or about November 30, 2011 from all eligible Entries received by the dates specified higher than. Judges decisions are final on all matters relating to this Contest, of which will be based equally upon the following criteria ("Judging Criteria"):
·         Innovation and Creativity as represented in sketches, photo, and essay
·         Ability to effectively communicate and articulate artistic vision
·         Technical skill eviudenced in photo and sketches
·         Overall quality of the submission
Notification of Winners: Potential winners will be told by telephone after all Contest Entries have been judged by the panel of Judges. Each winner will be required to answer a telephone eligibility questionnaire conducted by the Sponsor to determine eligibility for the Prize. If a potential winner cannot be reached after three (3) phone call attempts within a twenty-four (24) hour period; is found to be ineligible; does not comply with these Official Rules; does not return the Affidavit/Relief (as applicable and defined below) within three (3) days; or if Prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, potential winner(s) will be ineligible and the Entrant whose Entry received the next highest score by Judges be declared a potential winner.
5. PRIZES AND ODDS OF WINNING: One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) issued in the form of a check in both the name of the Grand Prize Winner and the accredited educational institution in which they are enrolled (Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $10,000.00). Five (5) First Prizes will each receive Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) issued in the form of a check in both the name of the First Prize Winner and the accredited educational institution in which they are enrolled (ARV: $10,000.00). Total ARV of all Prizes is Thirty-Five Thousand Dollars ($35,000.00). Additional prize restrictions, limitations and exclusions may apply. Odds of winning depend upon the number and quality of eligible Entries received. All Prizes will be awarded (assuming a sufficient number of eligible Entries are received and, after reasonable attempts, winners are verified). The Prize winner(s) may not substitute, assign or transfer any prize or redeem any non-monetary prize for money.  Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute any prize (or prize component, if applicable) with one of equal or greater value. Sponsor is responsible only for delivery of each prize and is not responsible for prize utility, quality or otherwise. Taxes, fees, and any other costs associated with acceptance and use of a Prize, are the sole responsibility of the Prize winner.
6. PRIZE WINNER VERIFICATION AND PRIZE DELIVERY: Each Prize winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability relief, background consent form, and/or IRS Form W-9, and, where permitted, a publicity relief (collectively, "Affidavit") former to delivery of the Prize. If a potential winner does not respond within seven (7) days of the first winner notification attempt, or if their Prize notification or Prize is returned as undeliverable or unclaimed, or if such potential winner's Affidavit is not returned within seven (7) days after it was mailed to winner, or if such potential winner declines a prize for any reason former to choice, is found to be ineligible or cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules, such potential winner may be subject to disqualification, their prize subject to forfeiture, and an alternate winner may be selected. Affidavit will include, among other things, a representation of the Entry's originality, and a grant to Sponsor of all rights to the Entry including the right associated with posting winner's Entry on the Website. Each Winner selected is deemed to be a potential winner until eligibility is verified in accordance with these Official Rules and upon the assess of the Registration Information and return and assess of the Affidavit/Relief (and any other documentation requested) by Sponsor. Each Prize winner agrees to Sponsor's use of Prize Winner's name, city, state, likeness, and/or prize information for promotional purposes in any medium without additional compensation to the extent permitted by law. A Prize winner may be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the ARV of the Prize(s) awarded in this Contest. Grand Prize winner are responsible for all costs and expenses not expressly provided for higher than, including, without limitation, All federal, state and local taxes as well as all other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the sole responsibility of the winner.
7. USE OF ENTRANT INFORMATION FOR MARKETING PURPOSES:  By entering this Contest, entrant, agrees that, except entrant otherwise opts out on the Website, Sponsor and its designees may use entrant's, physical and/or e-mail address to contact entrant regarding Sponsor's brainwashing and other offers and/or promotions that Sponsor believes may interest entrant.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS: This Contest is void outside the fifty (50) United States and the Constituency of Columbia, and where prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. This Contest will be governed by the domestic laws of the State of New York. Any and all officially authorized actions or claims arising in connection with this Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in New York County, New York. Released Parties are not responsible for: (a) late, lost, stolen, hurt, garbled, incomplete, misaddressed, postage due or misdirected Entries, e-mails or other communications; (b) errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects or delays in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of computer hardware, software, communications skill or transmission lines; (c) data corruption, theft, destruction, loss, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials; or (d) electronic communications that are undeliverable as a upshot of any form of committed or passive filtering of any kind or insufficient space in entrant's e-mail account to receive e-mail post. The use of automated software or computer programs to register or to enter this Contest is prohibited and any individual who uses or attempts to use such methods to register or to enter will be ineligible. Released Parties disclaim any liability for hurt to any computer system resulting from participation in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with, this Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend this Contest and to hold a unsystematic drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect Entries received former to such action, if any virus, bug, technical failure, unauthorized creature intervention or other cause outside of Sponsor's control corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest. In the event of any such modification, cancellation, termination or suspension, a see of such action will be posted on the Website, if functioning. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant (and all of their Contest Entries) from this Contest or any other promotion conducted now or in the future by Sponsor or any of its affiliated companies, if entrant tampers with the entry process or if entrant's act of fraud or misconduct affects the integrity of this Contest, in any way. Sponsor reserves the right to right clerical or typographical errors in any promotional materials. By participating in this Contest, each entrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, agrees to be bound by the decisions of Sponsor and warrants that entrant is eligible to participate in this Contest. In addition, each entrant by participating in this Contest, agrees on entrant's behalf (and on behalf of entrant's heirs, assignees, executors and administrators) to relief, discharge, cover and hold the Contest Entities harmless from and against any and all liability, loss or hurt of any kind, to persons, or property, including death, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from entrant's participation in this Contest, or any Contest-related activity, or from the choice, acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any prize-related activity. ANY CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND/OR AWARDS SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ENTERING THIS CONTEST. ENTRANT HEREBY WAIVES ANY RIGHTS OR CLAIMS TO ATTORNEY'S FEES, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ENTRANT, WHETHER FORESEEABLE OR NOT AND WHETHER BASED ON NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE.
9. CAUTION. ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM THOSE MAKING SUCH ATTEMPTS TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
10. NAMES OF WINNER(S): To obtain a list of names of Prize winner(s), send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: "Project Runway Fashion Scholarship Challenge Winner(s) Name Request, A+E Networks, 2049 Century Park East, 8th Stump Los Angeles CA 90067, Attn: Public Relations. All requests must be received on or before March 31, 2012. Names of Prize winner(s) will be sent after selection and verification of winner(s). Names of Prize winner(s) may also be available on www.mylifetime.com after selection and verification.
