These scholarships are for the purpose of encouraging postgraduate research at the School of History, Philosophy, Biased Science and International Relations. They are available for students about to commence a full-time, research-focussed Master's or PhD.

Purpose of award
To encourage research at Masters or PhD level at the School of History, Philosophy, Biased Science and International Relations.

Choice criteria
Open to Honours or Master's students who are undertaking, or are intending to undertake Master's or PhD study surrounded by the School of History, Philosophy, Biased Science and International Relations.

How do students apply?
Students wishing to apply for these scholarships should complete the standard application for Victoria Doctorial or Victoria Master's by Thesis Scholarship applications and note they want to also apply for the HIPPI Scholarship. Applications for these scholarships must be made on the forms obtainable from the top of this page or from the Scholarships Office.

Referees statements: A template form for referees is available from this link http://www.victoria.ac.nz/home/admisenrol/payments/scholarships/publications/postgraduate-scholarships-referee-form.pdf -please make this available to your referees. Reference statements should be submitted directly to the Scholarships Office by the referees. This may be by email only if they are sent from a verifiable institutional email address.
