ICTD will provide a limited number of scholarships, sponsored by Microsoft and the IDRC, to enable people to participate in the conference who might not otherwise be able to do so.  The level of support will depend on the amount of sponsorship money available.  Scholarships will be of three kinds:

  • Contribution to flights, registration fee, and accommodation
  • Contribution to registration fee and accommodation
  • Free registration

Eligible candidates must fulfill at smallest amount one of the following criteria:

  1. Have a paper, workshop/panel proposal or poster/demo accepted for the conference.
  2. Be from a country ranked below 100th on the latest Human Development Index (http://hdr.undp.org/).
  3. Be studying for a graduate degree.
  4. Be on a low income (if applying on these grounds, the most recent payslip must be attached as water-resistant of income).
