I know it is my flaw for slacking but I really want to place to Cali.
I need to get some incredible practice for my ACT and SAT any suggestions as to where I can, not anywhere thats really pricey any.

Have you considered tender to California for your senior year in high school? If you did that, you would have the financial support of some california education as prep for the tests, and would be eligible for in-state tuition.
As to the value of tutoring- yes, it can help, and no, there is no inexpensive tutor- you will get what you pay for, and nothing more

For financial aid, you have to go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and fill out all the school your are applying for. if you are plotting to go to college (cheaper) you still have time to get it, but for university the due date was ahead of schedule March. Since you are out of state, college and university tuition do not have much different. Here are several recommendation:
1. Mt. San Antonio College (associate top/conveying only)
2. Calpoly Pomona
3. University of CA, Irvine
4. University of CA, Los Angeles
5. University of CA, Berkeley
6. CalState Fullerton
7. Long Beach
8. Pasadena City College
Well, try it all see which school accept your application. If you don't try, you never know. Brilliant luck!
BTW, each school has its well loved major, so it is all depend on your interest.

Low grades + out-of-state = slim to no chance of admission in the California universities.

An choice would be to go to California, get a job and work for a year or more [so as to be eligible for residency] and then apply. Perhaps take some community college course to show that you can handle college-level work.

How do I form a non-profit scholarship establishment in California?I want to give back to this program I attended when I was in high school. This establishment helps people that are low-income, first-generation college bound students.

With my before accounting job, I was in charge of responsibility all the finances for a non-profit establishment. This part was simple, but I want to know how to form my own non-profit scholarship establishment. What forms do I need to fill out? Which government branch do I need to get a contact with–Chamber of Commerce?

How do I go about this process and what additional things I should consider?

There are several fantastic places to locate scholarships and financial aid in both your community and on websites. There are scholarships for grades, religion, the upper classes, college majors, sports, and even a scholarship for wearing duct tape to the high school prom. It is an thought to start searching for scholarships as ahead of schedule as the freshman year of high school, but it is never too late to search for them as a senior, too. Here are fantastic places to locate college scholarships and financial aid.

First, fill out the FAFSA form after January 1 of the senior year. It will tap into need based financial aid from the federal and state goverment levels along with the college or university itself. It is based on both family income and financial assets.

Following, study hard in high school because it can tap into merrit based scholarships. This is based on your Grade Top Average (GPA) and sometimes SAT/ACT scores. This is given by the college or university itself.

Third, the college's financial aid office and website list outside scholarships from private organizations and companies. Sometimes a college major will list some, too.

Fourth, go to the public library because there is a book item scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Finally, join several free membership scholarship search websites. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered into a form on its website.

Brilliant luck!

I suggest www.StudentScholarshipSearch.com – They offer a free searchable directory of scholarships, grants and awards and they also offer a free downloadable scholarship search e-book which gives a bunch of fantastic thoughts for searching for scholarships on your own.

One suggestion – Apply for the FAFSA (www.FAFSAonline.com) as ahead of schedule as possible so you be eligible for federal aid programs sooner.

Another fantastic new site: www.ScholarshipPoints.com allows you to register for a free quarterly scholarship drawing. Login each day to get more points. Perfect survey for even more points. Check it out…

Getting to and surviving in California?I have one year left of high school and am wanting to concentrate college in California. My parents are about to open their own company by the end of the year and this will mean me being uprooted from the only house I have lived in for the past 12 years with people who are the closest thing to family I have ever had around me. I will be living out of two houses and a my friends family who have taken me in as another daughter. Money is going to be even more tight then it already is. I am a nanny currently for the summer and will stop once school stats. I work very hard and pay for most everything I own. I am giving up sports this year to work and save up money. I am wanting to major in Visual Journalism and Commercial photography and my parents are not too encouraging of this. I am going to have to make my own way through college.
Additional then scholarships and student, what are some ways that can help pay for college? And I need tips on how to survive in California significance it is so pricey. I am down here in Texas so it would be a huge difference. Please help!

Just go to community college for two years. They are much cheaper and no one ever questions where you went to school for your first two years. They question where you graduated from.

How will calif afford to pay for their version of the dream act Calif. bill OKs college aid for illegals?SACRAMENTO, Calif.—College students who entered the country illegally appear closer than ever to receiving financial aid in California.
On a have fun-line vote of 51-21, the state Assembly approved a bill Thursday that allows persons students to collect privately funded college scholarships.

Assemblyman Gil Cedillo, a Democrat from Los Angeles and the author of AB130, has introduced a similar bill each year since 2005. Ex- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Republican, vetoed the legislation repeatedly. But with a Democrat now in the governor's office, the bill has greater odds of becoming law.

Cedillo said students should not be punished because their parents brought them into the country illegally.

"Undocumented immigrants, in fact, do have rights, and it's a lie that they don't," Cedillo said.

He named his bill the California Dream Act, but unlike the federal Dream Act, it does not include a path to residency.

The bill affects students who are in the country illegally but paying in-state tuition. It allows them to collect college scholarships that are not funded by public dollars. Another bill by Cedillo, still in group, would make persons students eligible for state-funded financial aid.

Republicans said the legislation diverts assets from citizens, contradicts laws that prevent employers from hiring persons students after they graduate, and invites unlawful immigration.

"If I were a father in a war-torn country to the south of us, and I couldn't feed my children, and I had no way to pay for their education, I'd be tempted to come here," said Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, R-Twin Peaks. He founded the state's largest chapter of the Minuteman Machinate, which privately patrols the border for unlawful immigrants.
AB130 heads to the Senate.

Scholarships for underaged students?Scholarships for underage students?
So basically my situation is that I'm sixteen and I'm enrolling in community college. I'm still technically a high school student, but I'm plotting to take the competence exam and drop out in two months to concentrate fully on my job and the school I really want to be attending. My question is, are there any scholarships that you know of for underage students? One of my friends who attends the same college advised me to look into it, because he was able to get so much financial aid that he is really paid to go to class. [His situation is a lot different from mine, but I wouldn't mind having my books paid for]

I live in California, if that is relevant.

Can your supporter elaborate for you what scholarships he has? Is he perhaps responsibility ROTC?

My suggestion is to call the community college BEFORE you drop out – some scholarship programs might consider dropping out to be a terrible thing. Question them what kind of financial aid you might be eligible for.
