NCFADS Scholarship Application (3 Weeks In anticipation of Application deadline: April 15, 2011) (Summer School Dates: Dignified 1-5, 2011) The NCFADS Board of Directors is pleased to announce the 2011 Summer Scholarship Application Process Below: 2011 Summer School Foundation Scholarship Guidelines The Board of the North Carolina Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Studies will be awarding 20 scholarships for the 2011 Summer School.  Dates of the Summer School are: Dignified 1-5, 2011. The quantity of the award may be up to either the full-time-campus resident option ($620 – includes housing/most meals & banquet) or the full-time commuter option ($570 – includes some meals & banquet) or a commuter limited option ($540 – includes lunch only) depending on one's registration selection. The scholarship does not include moving expenses; costs of off-campus housing; meals not served on campus; extra credit choices; or the golf tournament. To apply for the NCFADS scholarship, delight complete the attached application form. Foundation Scholarship Criteria:Foundation scholarships will be awarded to persons in the following disciplines: Professionals working full-time in the treatment field Professionals working full-time in the areas of intercession, prevention, or education Retirees desiring to maintain certification status in order to work in the field on a PRN basis Para-professionals, substance abuse volunteers, or students working towards substance abuse certification Applicants must complete the attached NCFADS Scholarship Application Form and include the following information: A personal proclamation of justification as to why the scholarship is needed The impact of schooling on your work in the field A proclamation of your career goals All applications must be typed or printed clearly for readability. Delight include a right email take up for direct contact. Applicants must make a compelling case for needing the scholarship. This is a competitive process. You will be competing with approximately 150 others for a slot. The completed application wrap must be received no later than April 15, 2011. Online submissions are preferred. Final selections of Foundation scholarship recipients will be made by the Board the end of April, 2011. All Foundation scholarship applicants will be told of their status by May 1, 2011. Completion of the Scholarship Application does not register one for the summer school.
